It's been a landmark period for Wizz Financial. What stands out as the biggest achievement?
The defining milestone has undoubtedly been receiving the Central Bank of the UAE's No Objection Certificate for our acquisition of Al Razouki Exchange and successfully completing Stage 1 of the transaction. This is a transformational moment for the business!
Al Razouki's established reputation and network of 23 branches significantly strengthens our presence across the UAE. Just as importantly, it provides the foundation for our next phase of digital growth. Our vision is to combine a strong physical network with digital-first services, creating a connected financial ecosystem for customers across the UAE and wider GCC.
Digital transformation is clearly a key priority. How is that journey progressing?
We've made significant progress through a number of strategic partnerships that are helping shape our digital future. Collaborations with Lean Technologies, Checkout.com, Emirates Face Recognition and Kotak Mahindra Bank are enhancing everything from digital onboarding and customer authentication to payment processing and cross-border remittances.
The partnership with Kotak Mahindra Bank is particularly exciting. Through Kotak's Click2 Remit platform, UAE-based NRI customers can send money to India using digital channels powered by Wizz Financial. It's a great example of how we're evolving from being a traditional exchange business into a technology-enabled financial services partner that provides digital infrastructure as well as customer-facing solutions.
How is the business performing today?
The business continues to build strong momentum. May was our best month on record, with the highest transaction volumes we've ever achieved. That success reflects the confidence our customers place in us and the operational excellence of our teams.
Along side this, we've continued investing in field marketing and customer outreach, engaging directly with communities across the UAE. These initiatives have increased awareness, strengthened customer relationships and supported our continued growth.
What innovations can customers look forward to next?
We're busy laying the foundations for the next generation of financial services.
Work is now underway on our Stored Value Facility (SVF) and Retail Payment Services and Card Schemes (RPSCS) initiatives, which are key building blocks for future digital wallets, payment services and card products. These strategic investments will help position Wizz Financial for long-term growth in the UAE's rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
We've also expanded our everyday digital offering through our new partnership with BILRS, enabling customers to pay utility bills through our platform. This broadens the role we play in customers' daily financial lives and supports our ambition to become a one-stop destination for convenient digital financial services.
Beyond business growth, how are you strengthening relationships with customers and communities?
Grow this only meaningful if it goes hand in hand with strong customer relationships. During Eid Al Adha, our branches celebrated with customers across the UAE through appreciation events that reflected our customer-first culture and reinforced the trust we've built with them.
We were also proud to participate in the Central Bank of the UAE's Global Money Week campaign, supporting financial literacy through the "Smart Money Talks" initiative.
