Hi Victoria! Could you tell us about your role at Wizz and your core responsibilities?
I am a Strategist at Wizz Financial, working closely with our Founder and CEO, Amir Nagammy, supporting the Group's strategic initiatives and long-term growth.
My role covers corporate strategy, investor relations, and executive projects. I work on market research, business planning, fundraising initiatives and presentations for investors and the Board, while collaborating with teams across different regions and business lines. One of the things I enjoy most is the variety. Every day brings a different challenge and an opportunity to learn something new.
What brought you to Wizz and what sparked your interest in fintech? It's been a landmark period for Wizz Financial. What stands out as the biggest achievement?
I joined Prism Group in Zug in December 2021 as an intern while I was still at university, where I had the opportunity to research the economies and financial markets across the MENA region and support strategic decision-making. After graduating, I joined Wizz Financial full time at our Dubai headquarters in 2022.
Having already worked in fintech, I knew it was the industry I wanted to build my career in. It's one of the fastest-moving sectors, with the opportunity to make financial services more accessible for underserved communities around the world.
I also believe fintech gives young professionals exceptional opportunities. Compared with many larger organizations, you're trusted with meaningful responsibility much earlier in your career, which allows you to learn faster, grow quickly and make a real impact.
What does it mean to be at a business that prioritizes women in leadership roles?
What I value most about Wizz is that opportunities are based on ability, not age or gender.
It's inspiring to see women in leadership positions, but what stands out even more is the culture of trust and meritocracy. As one of the younger members of the company, I've been given responsibilities that many people wouldn't expect at this stage of my career. That has helped me grow professionally and shows that Wizz genuinely values talent, collaboration and fresh perspectives.
What's been your biggest achievement at Wizz? What's been the biggest challenge you've overcome?
My biggest achievement has been progressing from an intern to working on strategic initiatives that directly support the Group's growth. Being trusted with increasingly complex projects early in my career has been both challenging and incredibly motivating.
The biggest challenge has been learning to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Over time, I've become more adaptable, better at managing multiple projects and more confident working under pressure. Looking back, that challenge has become one of the biggest drivers of my development.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years' time?
In 10 years, I still see myself at Wizz, although I believe the company will look very different from the one we know today.
I hope to see Wizz continue growing into a globally recognized financial services group with an even broader international presence, new products and technologies, and perhaps as a publicly listed company.
Personally, I'd like to continue growing alongside the business, taking on greater leadership responsibilities while helping shape the company's long-term strategy. One of the most rewarding aspects of working at Wizz has been growing with the organization, and I hope to continue contributing to its next stage of development.
